$16.3 million announced for Alberta water treatment projects

EDMONTON — The Province of Alberta and the federal government recently announced that more than $16.3 million will go to four water and wastewater projects in Alberta.

In the towns of Vermilion, Barrhead and St. Paul, wastewater treatment plant upgrades will increase capacity and improve the cleanliness of water released back into the environment. A new water reservoir for the Hamlet of Beaver Mines in the municipal district of Beaver Creek is also planned.
