Niagara Falls wastewater discharge might violate Clean Water Act

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Congressman Brian Higgins believes the inky wastewater discharge near Niagara Falls could be a violation of the Clean Water Act.

Higgins discussed the issue during a visit to Tonawanda Friday.

The Niagara Falls Water Board claims human error is what led to that discharge last week.

The board met with DEC representatives yesterday to share findings from a preliminary internal investigation.
